Sicily, Sardinia and Corsica on a motorcycle

The Mediterranean is one of the most beautiful and evocative areas of the world, characterized by an endless variety of islands with heavenly beaches, millennia-old history and unique culture. If you want to explore these places independently and with maximum freedom, why not try to do it by motorcycle? In this article, you will discover the best Mediterranean islands for a motorcycle trip, with suggestions on routes, sights to visit, and hidden treasures along the way. Whether you're a motorcycle enthusiast or an adventurer looking for new experiences, read ahead to find out which islands you can't miss.

We decided to make two versions available for each trip: On-road and Off-road both with the same destinations, but with very different routes between them.

All routes were created with our app, the first using the Maxi-Enduro / Stradale filter, the second using the Enduro bike filter only.

Sicily

The first place we are going to explore is Sicily, famous for its land rich in history and enchanting landscapes. If you plan to visit it by motorcycle, here are the places you absolutely cannot miss during the trip

#1 Taormina

taormina located on the east coast of Sicily, this city offers spectacular views of the Ionian Sea and Mount Etna. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Greek Theater and its magnificent panoramic views.

#2 Valley of the Temples

#3 Zingaro Nature reserve

riserva-dello-zingaro located on the northwest coast of Sicily, the Zingaro Nature Reserve offers an unspoiled natural environment with white sandy beaches, cliffs and crystal clear waters.

#4 Cefalù

rocca-di-cefalù located on the northern coast of Sicily, Cefalù is a picturesque medieval town with a golden sandy beach, a well-preserved historic center, and the famous Rocca, a large cliff overlooking the town.

#5. Ragusa Ibla

#6. Madonie park

#7 Noto

#8 Scala dei Turchi

#9 Siracusa

Siracusa located on the southeastern coast of Sicily, Syracuse is an ancient city with a well-preserved historic center and numerous archaeological sites of interest, including the Temple of Apollo and Maniace Castle.

#10 Etna

Sardinia

The second Mediterranean island we propose can only be Sardinia, an island with both a glamorous and wild face. In this itinerary we will start in the chic of Porto Cervo and then visit the western part and the hinterland. Let us be clear: of smooth and immaculate roads you will see very few.



#1 The Emerald Coast

#2. The scenic route of the Costa Verde

#3 Is Arutas beach

#4. The La Maddalena Archipelago

#5 The scenic road of Gallura

#6 Neptune's Cave

#7 Gulf of Orosei and Gennargentu

#8 The Beach of Cala Mariolu

#9 The city of Alghero

Corsica

The third and final island we suggest for your next motorcycle trip is actually Corsica. For many this is unexplored territory, yet it hides little treasures worth discovering. Corsica is characterized by a mountainous and rugged landscape that will test your riding, on and off-road. Here are the places we have chosen for you to better explore Corsica on your motorcycle.

For this last route, the road route, we propose the one made by Mariaelena Caizzi riding his Triumph Tiger 1200.
